Today's Tarot is entertainment content. It's not a reading from an actual tarot practitioner, so please base important decisions on career, health, or finances on your real situation and expert consultation, not on this result.
How is the card chosen?
Your birth date, gender, chosen topic (love, money, or career), and today's date are combined to automatically pick one card (from the 22 Major Arcana, with upright/reversed giving 44 possibilities) and its interpretation. The same inputs always produce the same card on the same day, and the card can change once the date changes.
Where does my birth date go?
It's used only inside your browser to calculate which card to pick, and stays only in this browser's local storage so you don't have to enter it again next time. It's never sent to or stored on a server. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Why can the result differ every day?
Today's date is part of the calculation that picks the card, so you may get a different card or a different orientation (upright/reversed) than yesterday. Drawing again on the same day won't change the result.
What is the Major Arcana?
The 78 tarot cards are commonly split into the 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana. The Major Arcana, running from "The Fool" to "The World," are considered to symbolize the big turning points and flows of life, making them especially suited for short, punchy messages like a daily fortune. Today's Tarot shows the day's flow using only these 22 cards.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why doesn't it use the 56 Minor Arcana cards?
The Minor Arcana cover many small day-to-day events, so using all 78 cards would make the reading long and complex. Since this is meant for a quick daily check, we narrowed it to the 22 Major Arcana, which carry clearer core messages.
Does entering a different gender change the card?
Yes. Your birth date, gender, and topic all feed into the calculation that picks the card, so changing even one of them can produce a different card.
Is there a paid version or a more detailed reading?
No, Today's Tarot is completely free aside from ads, and there is no paid version.
